Extrusal is still betting on export markets

The Aveiro Group of extrusion and surface treatment of aluminium profiles is betting on Brazilian and Venezuela markets.


The Extrusal Group, specialist on extrusion and surface treatment of aluminium profiles will bets, for this year, to expand the internationalization plan with the entry on two news markets: Brazil and Venezuela, predicting an increase of 10 % compared to 2012. This information was provided by the own group, in a statement, where it explain that the exports represented 49% of the global company activity, and the Europe market 44% of this exportations.  The turnover reached 34 million of euros distributed by two sectors: Industry (75%) and Architecture (25 %). Compared to 2011, there was a decrease of 6% due to the reduction of the aluminium price and the European crisis (construction and real states).


According the company source “In 2013 the strategy will focus on sustained and growing markets, on the launching two news sliding systems for architecture, on investment in machinery and structure to increase the productivity, and finally, on creating partnership with clients of the Industry sector”.


Nowadays, the Extrusal Group is a reference on international markets by the supply of innovating and technologically advanced aluminium solutions. At the factory, in Aveiro, structural profiles are produced, as well the machining of aluminium for the automotive industry; energy-efficient aluminium systems for the Architecture which contribute for a sustainable construction.


The Group was born in 1972, in Aveiro, and today is compounded by companies in Angola, Cape Verde and Mozambique. In 1997, Extrusal was the first and the one of the very few in Europe to achieve the certification of its Global Management System by ISO 9002 standard (dies manufacturing, extrusion, anodizing and powder coating). In 2002, Extrusal created the Environmental Management System which has been certified by NP EN ISO 14001 standard.
